08:00 hrs - We will pick up all of the passengers from
their respective hotels and departure in the direction
of the District of Sabandia, which is only about a 10
minute drive from the city (10km). We will be going to
the traditional pueblo of Yumina, which is home to a
amphitheater of Inca and Pre-Inca terraces and stone
work. This was the home of the dominant race of people
in this zone, known as “los Orejones”. The site has been
declared a patrimony of the nation by the INC.
10:00 hrs –We will visit the San Jose Church in the
District of Quequeña, and we will also go to the
Sonccomarca Lookout spot and the Martyrs of Queqeña
Museum. Taking a walk around the town, we will see and
learn about the beautiful colonial era houses that fill
the pueblo.
11:00 hrs – Depart in the direction of the pueblo, Sogay,
where we will have a short guided tour through the
gorgeous little town. The streets are cobbled and the
houses are made of Arequipas’ typical sillar, which is
actually a pure white volcanic rock, giving the center
of Arequipa, and this little pueblo, the distinctive
looking white colored streets.
12:30 hrs – Return to Arequipa, transfer to your hotel
