After having breakfast at your hotel, we
will pick you up and head to the archaeological site of
Moray, a unique archaeological site in the Cusco region.
Made up of gigantic holes or depressions in the ground,
this place was used by they Incas by building
agricultural terraces in it's' contours, each with it's
respective irrigation canals. Continuing on to Maras, we
will pass through the amazing aqueducts and the famous
salt mines. After enjoying a delicious, and welcome,
buffet lunch in Urubamba, we will make our way, in the
afternoon, to the village of Ollantaytambo. That is
where we will catch the train that will take us to Aguas
Calientes, and where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2:
Machupicchu- Cusco
On Day 2, we will board the first bus up to Machu picchu at about 5:30 am so that we can arrive
before the crowds. During the two and a half hour
guided tour, we will visit the main sites within the
ancient ruins as our guide explains to us about the rich
history of the amazing ruins. Afterwards, we will have
some free time to explore Machu Picchu on our own or, if
you choose, you can continue down the hill to visit the
town of Aguas Calientes in the afternoon. In the
afternoon, we will board a train that will take us back
to Cusco, where you will be transferred back to your
hotel.
