The tour starts off with a pick up from your hotel in
Lima and a transfer to the airport for your flight to
Cusco. Upon your arrival to Cusco you will be received
by a member of our staff and transferred over to your
hotel in the city. In the evening, you will be able to
visit the city a bit. That night you will have your
dinner at a tourist restaurant and then spend the night
at your hotel.
Day 2: Southern Sacred Valley
Today we will make our way down to the southern part of
the city to visit such typical places as Piqillaqta and
Andahuaylillas and Tipón, having lunch en route. We will
have guided tours of each of the sites as we make our
way around. At Tipón, we will participate in a ceremony
for Wiracoccha, even making offerings to the Pachamama (Mother
Earth). Return to Cusco. Rest and sleep.
Day 3: Maras Moray/ Saltpans
Today we will go out towards the Sacred Valley to visit
Maras, Moray and the Saltpans. That is a nice downhill
walk in some beautiful surroundings past some
significant places along the way. Maras is a small
typical pueblo where the entrances to all of the houses
are adorned with symbols representing Spanish and Incan
interests on each side of the doorway. Continuing on we
will come to Moray, which is a peculiar Incan
agricultural experiment; between each level of the
terrace it gets 5º warmer and so they experimented with
growing crops that weren´t typical to the Andes. It will
be a perfect place to do a ceremony for health and
energy.
Along the way we will have some delicious lunch and also
we will pass the saltpans which are beautiful white
terraces which produce natural salt which have been used
by people in the area for centuries at least. Return to
Cusco in the evening after a number of hours of walking.
In Cusco we will participate in the ancient ritual of
coca reading, which is a way that shamans can read your
future and your heart and spirit. Dinner in a tourist
restaurant. Spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4: Day 3: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Today we will spend the entire day touring in the Sacred
Valley of the Incas. We will have a typical lunch in
Urubamba, which is thought to be the main pueblo in the
Sacred Valley. When we get to Ollantaytambo, the most
storied pueblo in the area, we will make an offering to
Wayra. Instead of returning to Cusco in the night time
we will spend the night in Ollantaytambo, having our
dinner at a typical restaurant.
Day 5: Machu Picchu- Aguas Calientes
Transfer to the train station first thing in the morning
to arrive to Aguas Calientes in the early part of the
morning. We will immediately go up to the ruins in a bus
to have a guided visit of Machu Picchu. We will be shown
around the large site for about 2 and a half hours.
Afterwards, we will take part some traditional Andean
cleaning and harmonization ceremonies there at the
ancient ruins. We will also make more offerings to the
Pachamama. We will go down to Aguas Calientes to have
our lunch for the day, but then we will go back up to
the ruins in the afternoon to have some more time to
explore on our own. In the night time we will return
down the mountain to Aguas Calientes to have dinner and
spend the night. If the group wishes, there is also the
option to visit the hot springs for which the town is
named.
Day 6: Cusco – X-Zone
In the morning we will have a breakfast and then return
to the train station to catch a train back to
Ollantaytambo. The train ride will last about 2 hours
and it will be going through beautiful landscapes. You
will be able to see as we go from the jungle
microclimate back to the Sacred Valley again. We will
take a bus back to Cusco from Ollantaytambo.
In the afternoon we will be transferred to the place
known as the X-Zone, on the mountainside just over
Cusco. That is where we will do a series of ceremonies,
for Hanaq Pacha and Ukju Pacha, as well as ceremonies
for cleansing and reflection. Return to Cusco in the
evening to have dinner and rest.
Day 7: Killarumiyoq
Today we will be spending the day at the ceremonial
center of Killarumiyoq, which Is known to be a place of
spiritual significance. That is where we will do a
ceremony of ability. We will have our Lunch en route.
Back to Cusco in the evening. Spend the night at a
hotel.
Day 8: Departure
We will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to
the airport for your departing flight.
